Who operates the service
CheckMyQuote is operated by MeasureHub, a New Zealand quantity surveying and pricing business. The service is independent of the supplier whose quote you upload.
What the service provides
The free basic service provides one broad indicative range and the overall position of the uploaded quote where the visible scope and available pricing evidence support a responsible comparison. It does not include itemised findings, supplier questions, a detailed breakdown or quantity surveying assistance. Those features are available only through the optional paid detailed assessment offered in the result email. Delivery times can vary with file quality, quote complexity and service availability. All results are guidance only, not a valuation, fixed price, warranty or guarantee of market price, savings or supplier performance.
Information and changing prices
The result depends on the quote being complete and accurate. Prices can change with timing, availability, location, GST, site conditions, specifications and work not shown in the quote. We may identify an item as unable to be checked where reliable comparison information is not available.
Not formal professional advice
The service does not replace a quantity surveyor, engineer, lawyer, accountant, licensed trade professional or other qualified adviser where formal advice is appropriate.
Independence and suppliers
We are not the supplier's agent, do not enter the contract between you and the supplier, and do not endorse or certify the supplier or its work. The supplier remains responsible for its quote, services, workmanship and contractual obligations.
Your upload and decision
You must have the right to upload the document and should avoid including information that is not needed for the check. You are responsible for checking the quote, asking for clarification and obtaining qualified advice where appropriate before making a purchasing or contracting decision.
Payment and service issues
No payment is required for the basic result. If you choose the detailed assessment, its fee is shown before checkout and Stripe processes the card transaction. Payment starts the detailed review. If checkout is cancelled, no charge is made. Contact us promptly about a duplicate or incorrect charge, or if a paid result is not delivered. Your rights under applicable New Zealand consumer law are not limited by these terms.
Liability and mandatory rights
To the fullest extent permitted by law, CheckMyQuote and MeasureHub are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, supplier acts or omissions, price or market changes after the result, incomplete or inaccurate information in the uploaded quote, or using an indicative result in place of advice that should reasonably be obtained from a qualified professional. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any statutory consumer guarantee, remedy or other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Applicable law
The service is operated from New Zealand and these terms are governed by New Zealand law. Nothing in these terms limits rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act, Fair Trading Act or other mandatory law that applies to you.
